Pavol Tesar
Pavol Tesar studied painting with academic painters prof. Grabowieczky and Varga, and later devoted himself entirely to artistic creation as a professional. He traveled a lot in Europe, and then settled in Slovenia. His first group exhibition in Slovenia was in Mokrice Castle in 1992, which was followed by solo exhibitions in Brežice and Ljubljana in 1994, and then a series of exhibitions in various Slovenian and European cities. In 1999, he was awarded the gold medal of St. Cyril and Methodius. Prof. dr. Mirko Juteršek wrote at the time: “Because Pavol Tesar is a very prolific and tireless painter, his paintings are represented in various collections across Slovenia, especially in homes. The artist’s brightly colored landscapes are full of sunshine and optimism and, like his historical paintings, are immediately recognizable.”
