Painter Ejti Štih is from Bled. After studying at the Academy of Fine Arts in Ljubljana, she worked for several years as an innovative and original scenographer and costume designer, after which she was tempted by other places and other customs. She took her backpack and went to the wide world, fell in love in Bolivia and stayed there until today. In Bolivia, she is considered one of the country’s most prominent artists and is considered an influential intellectual who is often a guest in journalistic discussions on topics not necessarily related to art. She is a socially engaged artist who sheds light on the problems of poverty, the lives of ordinary people, globalization and similar current social topics. It is recognizable by its vivid colors, dominated by red, blue and yellow. With his unconventional pictures, he comments on our lives in a playful and mischievous, yet critical way and reminds us of our habits and vices.
