Oskar Kogoj is a world-renowned industrial designer, academic, and, above all, an artist. He received over 50 different international awards for his work.
The image of the Venetian pigeon is of great importance to Slovenians, as its depiction goes back a long way – to the Old Iron Age.
The stylized image of the Venetian pigeon (similar to the Venetian horse) was already depicted on the “Situla from Vače”.
With it, Oskar Kogoj evokes the ancient culture of the Slovenians – the culture of the Veneti.
In addition to the white, he also offers us a golden one, as the color gold is associated with quality, sophistication, and elegance.
