Dragon

Boštjan Štine is an artist who freely abandons himself to his creative imagination and does not succumb to current fashion trends.
He draws his inspiration from folklore and cultural heritage.
The dragon sculpture is depicted after four dragons standing on the bridge named after them – the Dragon Bridge over the Ljubljanica River.
The bridge and dragons were designed around 1900 by the architect Jurij Zaninovich. Due to a lack of money, they were made of hammered copper rather than bronze.
As these are Zaninovich’s last renderings, they are therefore the most elaborate and beautiful.
