He draws his inspiration from folklore and cultural heritage. The dragon sculpture is depicted after four dragons standing on the bridge named after them - the Dragon Bridge over the Ljubljanica River. The bridge and dragons were designed around 1900 by the architect Jurij Zaninovich. Due to a lack of money, they were made of hammered copper rather than bronze. As these are Zaninovich's last renderings, they are therefore the most elaborate and beautiful.
