Raku is an old Japanese technique of firing ceramics. It is a technique with unpredictable effects that depend on what we will do with the just-baked product. If the object is quickly cooled in cold water, green or turquoise blue glazes are obtained. But if we place a hot object in a container with sawdust or other flammable material, and cover the container with a lid, something completely different will happen. A beautiful copper-colored object will appear under the black layer.
