The colourful birdfeeder

Let your birdfeeder become a hospitable nourishing home for colourful birds.
Hang it in a still place near trees or bird shrubs, if possible. You can also put it on the balcony or a window.
Birdfeeder is an excellent place for bird-watching. You won’t regret it if you carefully write down all your observations. Which are those birds that appear the first in the morning, which are those that follow them; which kind of birds come and eat late in the afternoon, which are those that are the last in the evening? What sort of seeds do they prefer? Do they stay in the feeder or do they fly off with the food to some tree in the neighbourhood? Are they tolerant of other birds in the feeder or are they of a quarrelling kind?
If you will diligently feed your birds and attentively watch them, you will learn many interesting things about your flying friends. With a birdfeeder, you will turn your yard into a bird-feeding habitat. This will not only bring beautiful songs, multiple colors, and joy of life into your home but will be beneficial for the wild birds and the environment at large.

Opis

You can feed the birds throughout the whole year.
Spring is the time when birds are nesting and they can make great use of the food you provide for them. Most plants have no berries or seeds yet to be able to offer adequate food for the birds. Your food could prove very important for them.
Summer is the best time to feed the birds. During the summer, you may see at your feeders very different birds from those that you saw during the winter. Some nesting birds bring their young ones and teach them how to eat at the feeder. Young fledglings, full of excitement, usually make such a show.
In the fall, many birds form flocks and fly to warmer places. Those, who stay, however, have to prepare themselves for the winter. Some of them change their eating habits. Birds that usually eat insects may start to eat berries and seeds instead.
To survive during the winter the birds have to eat more than usual. Because of the cold weather, however, there may not be enough food. Many birds have to consume daily the amount of food that matches their weight. Just imagine that you need to eat every day the amount of food that would equal your weight! You couldn’t do it. Nevertheless, the bird’s tummy has a different capacity and works differently. This is why a bird needs more food.
