During the grazing season, they passed the time by making various toys, most often out of linden and oak wood. One of these is the cockroach barn puzzle, which is made of six boards carved in different ways and assembled in the shape of a stick flower. If the toy is taken apart, it is difficult to put it back together. Although our taste has changed in many ways in recent decades, the cockroach barn is still an interesting didactic toy and proof that people's lives in earlier times were richer than we imagine today."}
