The painted beehive endings that flourish on the front of the beehives are part of Slovenian folk history and a story about the originality and rich imagination of their creators. The years from 1820 to 1880 are considered to be the golden age of endings, but after the Second World War, this extremely beautiful and simple folk craft slowly died out. Through the rich collection of various motifs on the beehive endings, we can get to know priceless stories, fairy tales and tales from the past. Each one told a story with its details: mostly about everyday farm life, folk craft products and animals. Saints and other religious motifs often appeared on them. The motifs of historical and war events and all other memories of that time are priceless.
